I am proud to say that I have been involved in music for over 40 years. From the mid-70s until today. I have been on both sides of music’s influence. I have experienced it’s negative side, and now, it’s positive side. Yes! Music is very influencing and Powerful! It has the ability to bypass language and age barriers. Within my years of making music I have come to realize that there is more to it than meets the ear.
According to the Bible, (2 Kings 3:15; “But now bring me a minstrel.” And it came about, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him), Music that is anointed has ability to draw, close to us, the very presence of God! and his works made visible!
That same principle works on the other side of the spirit world also. Music that is fleshy, (Galatians 5:19-21; Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy,[a] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do[b] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.), has the ability to draw, into our presence, the very presence of Satan! And his works I made visible!
Because the Lord has allowed me to come into this type of information, I believe that it is my responsibility to share this information with all of the people that God has gifted with musical and lyrical abilities. I want to introduce you to this book. Below you will find a list of chapters in this book.

Coming in late 2020… Feel free read of chapter 8, which is posted below. I pray that it will be a blessing to you.
Music has the ability to affect man spiritually. Music has the ability to influence the choice of where a person will spend eternity, in Heavenor inHell. The previous chapters have stated and presented scriptures and scientific facts about the effects of sound, words and music on God’s creation. The facts have publicized that music, of itself; can convey emotions and ideas that have the power to dictate behaviors. The facts also show how words added to music can intensify its power to shape behaviors. The root factor in maneuvering the behavior of listeners mostly goes unnoticed. It is called inspiration.
In order to explore the spiritual characteristic of music it must be understood that stimulus and intention is what fuels inspiration. Its root word is Inspire, meaning to be stirred to action, reaction or expression because of an event, person, place and many other things. When it comes to music listeners must be aware that everything that is spiritual is not necessarily divine, but sometimes more than often not. It is very important to be able to distinguish both.
SOUND POWERED BY FAITH
Now that we know that it is a scientific fact that sound waves have a physical effect on matter and that words have an effect also. We are also aware that the Bible tells us that the power of life and death is in the tongue. PROVERBS 18:21 (Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.)
The 1staccount of sound being made, in the Bible, is when God said,” Let there be light!” This type of sound is generated when God himself has said something. Matter reacted to the sound and words that God spoke. Because that type of power is in God himself and the fact that mankind was made in His own image and likeness, GENESIS 1:27;(So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.),some of that same creative power can be exercised by mankind. The results of the sounds and words made will result in one of 2 ways…. If it is outside of the guidelines that God structured for mankind the results can be disastrous. The results are much different when our sound and words line up with what God says (speaking by faith) there will also be a reaction.
There are times that the reaction can be seen instantly. For instance, in the story of… Gideon. God told him to say “The sword of the Lord and Gideon”. There was an instant reaction JUDGES7:19-23; (So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just set the watch. And they blew the trumpets and smashed the jars that were in their hands. Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. And they cried out, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” Every man stood in his place around the camp, and all the army ran. They cried out and fled.)
Another time we see when God told the children of Israel to shout for the victory at Jericho. There was also an instant reaction. JOSHUA 6:2-6;(And the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and mighty men of valor. You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. Thus shall you do for six days. Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. On the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. And when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout, and the wall of the city will fall down flat, and the people shall go up, everyone straight before him.)
There are times when a command of speaking in faith is given and the result comes in time. For instant, Jesus himself told his disciples to speak to the mountain.MATTHEW 17:20;(He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”).Walking by faith increases the power that is in this creation called sound. It is very important that we use it in the way it was designed to be used. It is used to fight against the kingdom of the enemy. 2CORINTHIANS 10:4; (For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.)
The Bible tells us that there are only two sources from which inspiration originates from, either the Divine or from the Wicked. God (the Divine) has given us a guideline of things that can be an inspiration for music, songs, poetry and in directions. PHILIPPIANS 4:8; (For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is anything worthy of praise think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].) These things will inspire listeners to adapt their behaviors to the patterns acknowledged in the message.
The Devil also inspires people to do things, write things and sing about things that position themselves in opposition to the principles that God maintains. These things are called transgressions. These two powerful opposing forces have already settled the score between themselves, but the battle for soul’s rages on until God declares, “That is enough!” In order to understand the details of this war information about the enemy must be taken into account.
As Saints of the most high God we have been born into a time of war. This war is spiritual but with physical effects. There are only two sides God’s side and the Lucifer (the Devil) side. There are benefits on God’s side that far outweigh the Devil’s side but that is not what the enemy would have anyone to recognize. His goal and purpose is to fool mankind into serving his side willing or by default. The deadliest blow to the Devil is for him to be exposed.
When war is imminent it is important that something is known about the enemy. If at all possible sometimes spies are sent into the enemy’s camp to access their capabilities and weaknesses. This information is detrimental for knowing how, when and where to attack so that a good defense can be planned.
With the Lord’s help we will begin to unfold Biblical chronicles of Lucifer. The name “Lucifer” means “Shining One”. It seems that part of his job was to possibly reflect the glory of God. This might have been why his clothing was made of materials that in their purest state reflect many facets of colors, thus giving a dazzling, glowing and shining appearance.
EZEKIEL 28: 12-13; (Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre and say to him, thus says the Lord God: You are the full measure and pattern of exactness (giving the finishing touch to all that constitutes completeness), full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the carnelian, topaz, jasper, chrysolite, beryl, onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and your settings and your sockets and engravings were wrought in gold. On the day that you were created they were prepared.)
The next thing that we are told about Lucifer’s creation was that instruments were made in him. These are all the basic types of instruments created. The scriptures talk about the percussion instruments (tablets) and wind instruments (pipes) (“…the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou was created.”)
Also we find stringed instruments (Harps) that are a part of his make-up. ISAIAH 14:11 (Your pomp and magnificence are brought down to Sheol [the underworld], along with the sound of your harps; the maggots [which prey upon dead bodies] are spread out under you and worms cover you…).
Then we are given a small description of what he did for God and what his character was like up until the time that iniquity was uncovered in his heart.
EZEKIEL 28: 14-15; (You were the anointed cherub that covers with overshadowing [wings], and I set you so. You were upon the holy mountain of God; you walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire [like the paved work of gleaming sapphire stone upon which the God of Israel walked on Mount Sinai]. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity and guilt were found in you.)
Once Lucifer allowed himself to become infected with wickedness, the days of his existences began to decline.
One of the most important facts we know about the Devil are the instruments and his ability to play them were created in him. During his existences he has recognized the influencing power of music. After his fall Satan didn’t lose his talents they just became corrupted and corrupting. ISAIAH 14:11; (Your pomp and magnificence are brought down to Sheol [the underworld], along with the sound of your harps; the maggots [which prey upon dead bodies] are spread out under you and worms cover you [O Babylonian rulers].)
Lucifer was given a lot to do in God’s kingdom and because of this he developed the attitude that he deserved a cut of God’s glory to own for himself.
EZEKIEL 28: 16- 18; (Through the
abundance of your commerce you were filled with lawlessness and violence, and you sinned; therefore, I cast you out as a profane thing from the mountain of God and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was proud and lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I lay you before kings, that they might gaze at you. You have profaned your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities and the enormity of your guilt, by the unrighteousness of your trade…)
The next step down happened when Lucifer began to build a hunger to take God’s glory and kingdom away from him. ISAIAH 14:13-14; (And you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit upon the mount of assembly in the uttermost north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High)
Pride! The emotion that Lucifer allowed to suffocate his rational, impaired perspective about who he was in relationship to God his creator. It caused him to believe that he could rebel against
God and overthrow the kingdom. Of course he was wrong and after his defeat God pronounced judgment upon Lucifer. EZEKIEL 28:18; (…Therefore I have brought forth fire from your midst; it has consumed you, and I have reduced you to consumed you, and I have reduced you to ashes upon the earth in the midst of the stones of all who looked at you.)
We must keep in mind that none of Lucifer’s actions were a surprise to God because God is All-Knowing. I believe that He gave Lucifer the right to exercise his own free will so that there could never be an unjust accusation against God acting before the time. Lucifer has no excuse for his actions thus he must pay for them.
Lucifer realizes that his death sentence draws closer to being fulfilled with each passing day. This is why his determination to fight the will of God grows with each day he has left. Lucifer dare not fight against God personally anymore, but in order to hurt the heart of God he has chosen to fight and try to destroy God’s prized creation, Mankind. Lucifer doesn’t want to be exposed as he fights against man but rather he chooses to take
punches at mankind as he hides behind circumstances and situations. The main tool he uses is called deceit. His title, “The Devil” means “The Deceiver”.
Music could have been what Satan used in his first act of deception to help win over so many of the angles to follow him into rebellion against God. REVELATION 12: 7-9; (Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels went forth to battle with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought. But they were defeated, and there was no room found in heaven any longer. And the huge dragon was cast down and out – that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil or Satan, he who is the seducer [deceiver] of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him.)
The second big deception act was used on Eve in the Garden of Eden. Today the Devil continues his legacy of deceit. I believe that a very big part of his mission uses music. This medium has helped to corrupt mankind with ideas and emotions that are designed to lead listeners farther and farther away from God.
I have heard this said to me so many times that it’s crazy… “Music is just music! A “C” chord in secular music is the same as when playing gospel are correct except with one main difference… The only difference is the perceptive of the inspiration.
His music instruments were designed to give God glory. His perspective of inspiration was a “God One”. The “C” chord was played to give God glory. The result from that type of music brought all of God’s created heavenly beings together in praise. After his fall the same “C” chord and instrument had a change in the perspective of inspiration. This perspective was a selfish and rebellious one. Now… instead of unity the result brought a division in heaven and on Earth. With all these changes happening in the heavenly realm the same has happened in the physical too.
In the following chapter we will expose how the Devil sets up a few of his most powerful traps for those saints that work for the Lord in the music ministry.
